Perfect Piano for Android is a relatively simple app that transforms your device into a small piano that can be played anywhere. The software is simple enough that anyone can use it, but it has plenty to do to keep the user occupied.

There are a total of six modes that can be used in this app, and those modes are Contest, Records Manager, Explore Songs, Multiplayer, Keyboard, and Learn to Play. Those that have little or no experience with a keyboard will love the Learn to Play mode that teaches through basic songs so players can get the hang of the software and the general act of playing a piano.

Using the Keyboard mode allows the user to simply practice with a standard keyboard, and players can also record their favorite tunes in this mode. This is great for legitimate piano players and songwriters who might want a way to leave themselves musical notes when they think of a catchy melody that must be saved right away.

The Explore Songs mode gives the player a list of songs that they can play along with, which helps with creativity and builds a more solid base of skill. This mode is one of the best ways to practice and hone your talent into something truly respectable.

Multiplayer mode is something fairly unique to this sort of instrument app. In this mode, players can either join an existing online room or create a new one for themselves, and others can join in on the fun as well. In these rooms, groups of players can create symphonies that they otherwise wouldn't be able to perform on their own.

Perhaps the most entertaining mode is the Contest mode, which allows the player to play along with a song, much like the Explore Songs mode, but in Contest mode the player must be as accurate as possible to earn points, much like the popular Guitar Hero. This mode is another fun way to practice while simultaneously trying to beat your own high score.

Records Manager mode is the last of the usable modes, and it allows the user to sort and listen to any song they created in Keyboard mode. This is a convenient way to get an idea of your progression.

This app is entirely free, which is quite nice for those that have an actual purpose for the software, like musicians on the go who need a place to store ideas. The app doesn't do much in terms of preparing someone to play an actual piano since the real instrument is so much more in-depth than this software, but it provides the basic knowledge that is required.

Even with the six distinct play modes, this app is relatively basic and intuitive. It has the perfect complexity for quick recording in the moment, and it provides a solid digital piano experience.
